Drone Arrival participated on the panel of judges for the 2022 Engineering Drone Video of the Year, organized by Civil + Structural Engineer Media. The annual contest showcases drone videography as a tool for conveying information about AEC projects and for communicating their purpose, value, aesthetics, and broader context.
This year’s competition began with the panel of judges watching and scoring the first group of entries to select the top ten videos, which were then voted on by the Civil + Structural Engineer Media audience over a 14-day period.
From among many excellent entries, the winner was Nitric Acid Plant – Köping, Sweden (CASALE) by Andrea Perotti, featuring a recently completed project of nitric acid plant in Köping, Sweden.
According to Luke Carothers, the Editor for Civil + Structural Engineer Media, the team “[…] took advantage of the local environment, which allowed for a midnight shooting because there is never total darkness during June in Sweden. The video makes ample use of this footage, using the low light as a softly glowing background to the plant’s vibrant lighting and complex design. […] The final result is a video that allows its audience an intimate view and better understanding of an industry that is fundamental to both the economy and the built environment.”
We congratulate all entrants for submitting their outstanding work.
