Keeping with the theme of “Building the Blueprint for Autonomy” at this year’s AUVSI Xponential 2023 (#xpo23) in Denver, Drone Arrival highlighted a cross-section of uncrewed technology options brought together in best-in-class, integrated UAS solution offerings. Our leading themes focused on specialized sensor integrations, BVLOS-ready platforms, and drone light-show innovations.
Our partner Routescene’s LiDAR tools were the highlight of our sensor integrations, and the company’s CEO, Gert Riemersma, was on hand to answer questions about Routescene’s drone-mounted LiDAR 3D mapping systems, Ground Control Targets, and LidarViewer Pro processing software. Several UAS options are available from Drone Arrival to meet the end-to-end drone LiDAR mission needs. Click here for a PDF describing these must-have solutions for LiDAR surveys where high quality, precision, and accuracy are paramount. You can read Routescene’s review of Xpo23 here.
The EchoLogger ECT D052S dual-frequency echosounder mounted on a DJI Matrice 300 UAV was an example of a range of payloads available with the SPH Engineering Integrated Solutions offered through Drone Arrival with several aircraft options such as Inspired Flight’s recently released heavy-lift IF1200A and Skyfront’s long-endurance Perimeter 8.
Our display included the IF1200A as well as Aurelia Technologies’ X6 Max UAS, both US-made and capable of BVLOS mapping and inspections with a selection of sensor options, including the Routescene LidarPod that was on display. We also highlighted the hyperspectral imaging solutions from HySpex and Cubert for forestry, mining, and oil and gas industry applications.
Battery-swapping drone stations and battery-charging drone nests, such as those available from our partner Hextronics, are necessary components of seamless autonomous UAS operations. Hextronics Atlas drone stations quickly swap DJI M300 & M350 RTK and Parrot ANAFI USA batteries and can do the same for other advanced, US-built and DoD-approved UAV systems available from Drone Arrival.
Drone light show technologies continue to be a topic of significant interest and we shared our expanded product offerings that now include new US-manufactured drone options as well as new capabilities from Drone Show Software.
Keeping closer to the ground, the Go1 quadruped robot dog from Unitree Robotics—with applications ranging from academic research to local fire and police departments to power plant and warehouse security—kept our team company and even entertained visitors with impromptu demos in the aisles.
We are grateful for the in-depth conversations with interested buyers, our customers, friends and partners. To stay at the forefront of uncrewed technology developments, we had many inspiring discussions about promising new integrations and offerings—all significant building blocks of the uncrewed autonomy that is taking shape and that Drone Arrival can offer now.
